Electrical Tutorial

1)

 Calculate the equivalent resistance (Req)?

       Ans:  first R10 and R8 are in series

           So,  R10 =2 ohm

                   R8  = 10 ohm

              R10+ R8 =(10 + 2 ) ohm = 12 ohm

Now,  12 ohm and R9 are in parallel

            R9=6 ohm

So, Rparallel= (12*6) /(12+6) =4 ohm

Now,  R7 and 4 ohm are in series

              R7=8 ohm

   Rseries =(4+8) ohm =12 ohm

R6 and 12 ohm are in parallel

               R6=6 ohm

Rparallel = (6*12)/(6+12) =4 ohm

R5 and 4 ohm are in series

          R5= 4 ohm

 Rseries=(4+4) =8 ohm

R4 and 8 ohm are in parallel

           R4=8 ohm

Rparallel = (8*8) /(8+8) =4 ohm

R3 and 4 ohm are in series

      R3= 4 ohm

Rseries=(4+4) ohm=8 ohm

R2 and 8 ohm are in parallel

         R2 =8 ohm

Rparallel= (8*8) /(8+8) =4 ohm

Now R1 and 4 ohm are in series

            R1 =6 ohm

Req=Rseries=(6+4) ohm=10 ohm
